AMDA would like to welcome Donnaya Robinson to the studio! Donnaya will be teaching the Wednesday night Hip Hop classes this year.
Donnaya, Miss Dee, has traveled all over to train and perform. She has trained over 20 years in all genres of dance including: Jazz, Tap, Modern, Stepping, African, Dancehall and her all time favorite, Hip Hop. She has had the great pleasure and opportunity to learn from some of the industry's top choreographers such as Bev Brown, Showtime, Jermaine Brown, Lori-Ann Gibson, Chio, Dave Scott and Brain Freidman and many more. She has also trained at the world renowned Alvin Alley American Dance Theater. Over the years she has been a member and Assistant Coach of two local professional dance teams: Albany Conquest Football Team and The Lady Emeralds CBA Basketball League. Dee has coached for an open level dance competition team for 10 years, while working with local high school dance teams in her free time. In 2008, she was a founding member of the all-girl dance crew Limited Edition, which performed at various events throughout the capital region. Dee enjoys passing her unique style of dance on to her students and considers teaching the best job of all.
