Laura VanZetta - AMDA Hip Hop Instructor

Laura began dancing in the Capital Region at a very young age. She spent her time training at a variety of dance studios, and ended up studying at Art in Motion Dance Academy in 2009 as a freshman in high school becoming a member of AMDA's Dance Company (AMDA Alumni and Hip Hop Student of Vicki Rocheleau). Along with training at Art In Motion, Laura also danced with Saratoga based Modern Company NACRE, and CNY's Open Hip Hop competition team. Laura attended SUNY The College at Brockport and received a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology, and was also an active member of the modern dance program at the college- performing in monthly shows hosted by the college's Dance Department. Laura was a member and co-choreographer of Brockport's Hip Hop Competition team and a member of Brockport's dance team performing at football and basketball games on campus. After graduating college, Laura moved to New York City and was performing and studying under modern dancer and company owner Jaili Wang of Seven Midnights Movement Research. Laura also studied Street Jazz, Hip Hop and Heels Dance under Jerry "Jerry Curls" Paulino as a member of Shade Dance Company. Currently, Laura is living in the Albany area and dances on a competitive Hip Hop team, Dance Intensity. Laura is very excited to be back at AMDA sharing all she has learned throughout her career as a dancer and choreographer.
