Michaela Curcio - AMDA Hip Hop Instructor


Michaela is a recent graduate from Roger Williams University with a bachelor's degree in Engineering specializing in Mechanical Engineering. She also minored in dance and performing art studies and trained under various professional choreographers such as Heidi Henderson and Raphael Xavier. Throughout her four years at Roger Williams, she was active in multiple clubs such as Engineers Without Borders, and served as Vice President of Society of Women Engineers and Dance Club. She choreographed multiple hip hop, jazz, and contemporary dances for Dance Club and was a dancer for Dance Theatre where she choreographed a modern piece her senior year. 

Michaela had danced at multiple dance studios as a child, but resided at Art In Motion in 2010 and continued all through high school. Michaela was a part of Dance Company for 6 years and served as a Teachers Assistance for Art In Motion throughout High School. She was a Guest Choreographer while in College teaching Hip Hop for Mini Dance Company. She also choreographed Hip Hop for Cheer Intensity's competitive dance team.

After graduating, Michaela returned back to Albany to work as a Mechanical Engineer by day and a Dance Teacher at night!
